ARTIST STATEMENT

I am an immersive artist who takes interest in interactive storytelling through my work with fabrication and sculpture.

I have always taken an interest in the strange and obscure, commonly taking part in the creation and making of fantastic creatures and fairy tales. This interest has translated over to my  final piece in which my research of the fictional beast the Jabberwocky and small folklore stories has led her down the rabbit hole of the human condition and how deep-seated humans are in traditional stories.

My most recent piece is a collaboration of all the stories and memories I've held onto through the years. Their name is Kiko and they have battled through life alongside me. I believe everyone has a Kiko!
